HOW TO NATURALLY DYE YOUR EASTER EGGS BLUE!! SAVE this idea for later! Using red cabbage is an awesome way to naturally dye your easter eggs a beautiful blue color. It worked perfectly and I love the shades of blue! Chop up a red cabbage and place into a pot of of water. Bring to a boil and then simmer on low for 45 minutes. Remove pot from the stove and then remove the cabbage with a strainer. Allow remaining dyed water to cool and then add 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Place eggs that are already hardboiled into the dyed water. Let sit in the mixture anywhere from 1 to 12 hours (in the refrigerator) depending on how dark you want the blue. The longer you leave the egg in the mixture darker the blue will be so remove at different times to get different shades of blue.
