Plea offers should cap the punishment. The DA represents the interest of the public and a judge should not be allowed to modify a plea agreement either.

Florida is very hard with time I live in California got federally charged in Florida 60,000 for my attorney got 5 years out of a 17 year offer

Attorneys do this. Day 1 he was like 100% we will win the trial. Day before trial he says we are dead in the water. take the deal. I was stubborn, went to trial and got it dismissed.
