@michael.inthemix: I want to address some of the bad music production and mixing advice that I've seen all over social media. Today, I talk about auto-gain and gain staging, music theory myths and creativity/productivity comments. Many videos share questionable advice to try and gain clicks, others are simply sharing bad advice in comments and forums. Most of these people mean no harm but I wanted to offer some clarity to this space. I think everyone should be allowed to share advice, no matter the size of their following or ability. In future videos I want to address vocal tuning, DAW sound differences, audiophile myths and so much more. 0:00 - Bad Advice 0:48 - You can't force creativity 2:32 - Music theory makes you less creative 4:05 - My mixing plugin 4:38 - Gain Staging will make or break a mix (you need auto-gain) 8:00 - Puppy Update #longervideos #mixing #musicproduction #musicproductiontips #fl #flstudio #ableton #logicprox #inthemix #audioengineer #longvideo #advice #musicproducer
