What if I didn’t have lubricanting eye drops could I just wet a paper towel and place it on my eye for a couple minutes so it stops itching?

I have done this for years I believe because of bad allergies. I do not know how to stop removing them because it’s uncomfortable having them in there. Should I use allergy or lubricant drops.

My boyfriend had the same thing but his eye gets swollen and he try’s not touching it all day and it gets worse if he doesn’t remove it :(

all day. every day. tiny bit of mucus feels like boulders. glycerin based eye lubricant is what my eye dr told me to use. seems to only make it worse.
