I think I learned so much in college about myself and just how to live/socialize/take care of myself. Maybe someone should invent a dorm like community for 18-22 year olds to live in career year

My degree was worth it for me but I coupled it with an internship and had less than $20K in loans when I graduated. I also read 30+ books per year.

College dropout here. I started my business at 20 years old. By 25, I was making more $ than my mom who has a master’s and 20+ years experience

I mean as a college student my 7 books are higher level math textbooks. It really depends on what major you’re going to be for level of education

i do have to say, without a degree the jobs available pay very little. colleges have a lot of things to fix, but at least i'll have the ability to earn a living wage for the overpriced piece of paper

degrees may not actually prepare people for those jobs but the people hiring those jobs use it as a pre-requisite for the job.

I have learned so much more from the internet and books I just read for fun than I ever did from college. Turns out half the stuff they taught me was wrong or has been disproven since anyway.

Honestly college is only worth it if you’re going for something specialized. I went to music school and that was worth it for me.

My kids school won’t let them graduate unless they either have been accepted to college, trade school, military or have a full time job lined up.

Also to the price point. Lifetime earnings for college grads is still a million more than highschool grads.
