It's a Northstar, if it's not leaking oil then it probably needs oil....

If the oil is just below the checker it’s only a quart low and could actually mean it just uses a little oil which is normal according to all vehicle manufacturers

also code reader will tell you if they cleared the codes and it hasn't achieved readiness yet. but code clearing also can happen legit w/some repairs
