Body tech here. We stitch from the back and fill the front. For stuff like this presentation doesn’t really matter though

Just use a couple to hold it in place then melt a zip tie long ways to “weld” it together

I can do the same with needle nose plyers, a blow torch and cotter pins.

Love the plastic welding but that can is provided by the waste management company. Just get them to replace it. Excellent repair though.
