@thekittyandmarley: The only difference is their lack of human socialization. They still play and act just like socialized puppies - just not with humans. This is my Hazel and her sister Stella when they were ~5 months old. They were born to an ababdoned pack of dogs, feral from neglect. They and their brothet were born and raised in the woods, without human socialization, and were true ferals. At the time of this video, I was visiting every evening, spending hours getting them used to human presence. I set up a feeding station by the tree and they quickly learned my routine. I would fill the bowls with food and water and then sit away, on a beach towel, and make myself small. I wouldn’t make eye contact and I tried not to make noise - one sneeze would set me back days.
