The job you choose will build on that foundation and help you master what you need to know. You’re not a walking nursing textbook, so don’t sweat it if you forget something. 2. What you are doing matters, even though it may not always feel like it. There will be days when you feel like your coworkers don't care, your employer doesn't care, and even your patients don’t seem to care about your efforts. That's okay. What you are doing matters and will have a ripple effect on countless lives, even though you might never see it. 3. Don’t compare yourself to others. It takes time to develop your nursing skills. We all develop at our own pace.
