Travel insurance doesn’t give you compensation. It’s probably just not an insurable event. Insurance doesn’t cover everything.

I have no advice or experience myself. but I would be exploring every possible solution,British police report, legal representative 3k is a lot. maybe ring the insurance people again speak 2 sum1 diff

I would never dare not get it, but I’ve also had a horrendous experience. Our dog became paralysed a few days before we were due to fly, and they wouldn’t pay out as it’s not a person 😭
