They’ll try to tell you getting a lawyer makes you look guilty. Because they can lie to you to coherence information. You can’t lie to them.

I worked at defense firm. So many cops on the stand say something like “I was trained to detect liars. They’re lying” and juries will buy it

The new doc American nightmare on Netflix is a great case for this. They were so ready to arrest him and then them both eventually without basically investigating anything.
