@ustheremingtons: Not sleep training yet, just trying all the gentle ways to get him to nap in his crib. Lacking consistency because trying to figure out what works best for him! But the one thing i have been doing is at least Starting him in there. We have started to hang in the nursery more, diaper changes there, playing in his crib. He is at least not screaming when he is laid in it which is a huge win! #cosleeping #cosleep #sleeptraining #crib #babytok #7months #7monthsold #babysleep #momof2 #babytips #naproutine #naptime #babysleeptips #babysleeping
We have the same aggressive shushing pattern/rythm 😆 or maybe its universal?

One thing that helped me in my nannying job, 7 month old and 5 month old cousins, the 5 month old NEEDED to be put to sleep on his belly..obviously with watching him and only if he’s older enough

My son will only nap on his own if i put him down on his tummy which they say not to do but he can turn/roll over and get up off his tummy on his own so is that okay? He is going on 8 months

We had to lay down next to the crib to get her to fall asleep not being held. Then we slowly would sit further and further away. I held her hand through the bars a lot. Less crying that way.

I have a mattress on floor in her baby room so I breastfeed her to sleep and walk out. 5 mins later she’s up crawling around lol I end up falling asleep on her bed too

Solidarity sister. My babe just started rolling back to front. I thought it would help (that he’d like to belly sleep) no he just rolls and cries

The only way I could get mine to sleep is to put a pillow on my lap, lay them on their stomach, and pat them on their behind and rock

so a friend of mine told me to get a heating pad and lay it in bed where the baby will be laying. feed them/rock to sleep then remove heating pad, put baby down where heating pad was

yup. consistency is what worked for us. even if baby sleeps for 5 min, they will sleep longer eventually. repeating the same things gives them confidence

Hi mama! When you transfer to the crib try putting him on his belly instead of his back! He will feel more snuggled and potentially stay asleep. 💙

Maybe try to put another layer between you and the baby, so he doesn't wake up from the sudden loss of your body warmth when you put him down.
