@mastermoneyco: The investing set-up if you make over $100k per year. #wealth #investing #investingforbeginners #invest #networth #money #rothira #401k #taxablebrokerageaccount
If you don't get 401k match but have pretax 401k and Roth 401k available do you prefer Roth 401k or Roth IRA as first bucket?

After match should be “pay off any loans with interest > 7%) and max out HSA should be before any taxable brokerage account

100k. Max 401k. Max Roth. Then save some more in your regular brokerage account. Easily get 30k into retirement. Not hard.

ROTH IRA isn't super viable. 100k a year isn’t enough income to actually save enough $$ to retire comfortably. Gotta make at least 300k to save and ROTH won't work for that.

AGI higher than 30% is a bit of a nonsensical statement. I do appreciate that you aren’t 100% Roth all the time though.

Retired now. While working no 401k match but still maxed Roth 401k. Maxed Roth IRA as well. SS+ pension equals salary net of FICA + 6% pension deduct.
