@paige.koser: A while back I found @crayola bandaids for $0.15 per box at our local discount grocery store. I had a box or two in my cart ya know for regular bandaid use on cuts/scrapes. Then a woman passed by and saw all the kids and saw the bandaids and told me how she used to be an activity coordinator for a nursing home. She explained elderly activities are super similar to toddler/young children activities! Fine motor skills and keeping the brain sharp! She’s right! She had all of these wonderful ideas that involved bandaids! 1. Make a picture out of them on a piece of paper 2. Draw on them or add googly eyes 3. Practice fine motor skills by opening them up 4. Hide them around the house and do a scavenger hunt 5. Practice colors and counting 6. Decorate yourselves or things around the house with bandaids! She inspired me to turn around and grab about 10 more because for that price why not?! Today was a rainy day and I broke out the bandaids and the kids LOVED it! My fresh 3 year old just opened and put them on a piece of paper for a good 30-45 minutes. Which is INSANE for him! My oldest decorated things around the house with them!
