Once given time and a calm approach, everything began to change. ✨ In just a few days, Star has made incredible progress: 🐾 Walks well on leash 💕 Comes when called 💕 Seeks out affection 💕 Climbs into volunteers’ laps for comfort 💕 Enjoys being brushed 💕 Allowed a rescue partner to leash and handle her with no issues 🐶 Remained calm and simply curious when another dog approached the fence 🌼 Playgroup: Timid, gentle, and social with other dogs Staff now believe Star’s behavior is driven by kennel stress and anxiety—not aggression. Outside of the kennel, she has shown herself to be a sweet, affectionate dog who simply needs time to feel safe. 🏡 Star is looking for a patient adopter, foster, or rescue who will allow her to decompress and adjust to home life.
