“Are you going to keep it?” The first question i was asked when i told people i was pregnant at 21. Sure, i made some questionable choices, i wont deny that, but one thing i knew for a fact was that i was going to be a mom. The mix of reactions i got from people when i told them i was choosing to keep the baby spoke volumes in the room. But at the end of the day, many people came alongside me while i grew this little life God blessed me with. Whether it was baby hand me downs or a meal train when i had the vid at 36 weeks when it was already a high risk pregnancy, me and baby boy were loved beyond measure. Sure, getting pregnant was the consequence of my own actions but God chose to give me an opportunity of redemption by giving my this life. I saw myself change in multiple ways as this baby continued to grow. I went from being 110lbs to almost 170. It was a big change seeing my body physically change while carrying a baby. But every scar i gained while my body grew to keep baby safe im forever reminded how powerful women truly are. Judah in the Hebrew language means “praise”. I chose his name because through the hardship of not just my choices but through the roller coaster of pregnancy i still chose to give God praise for the little boy He blessed me with. And man is this boy a blessing. Hes grown into such a smart little boy, a kind spirit who loves on the people around him, who loves to help in whatever task youre doing even if that means the task takes longer to do. He’ll show you every rock he finds at the park even if its the same rock over and over. He’s overcome so many obstacles in his short life so far with flying colors. His joy is infectious. Becoming a special needs mom wasn’t on my radar. The last year has brough so many challenges but also so many victories. He’ll tell you all about his favoritie movie cars 2 and how much he loves Fin McMissle. He’ll bring you a puzzle piece to put in even though hes comoleted the puzzle a million times before. Every morning he looks for his little brother. Every day the house is filled with laughter and “come on Maverick” from this kid. In a couple months he’ll be 3. And you know what? I dont regret becoming a young mom. This is what i was made for🩵 ##fyp##foryou##MomsofTikTok##singlemom##boymom##youngmom##specialneeds##specialneedsmom##autismacceptance##tiktok
