@jamiegenevieve: I watch this video every single day 🥹 It’s so funny what goes through your head when you find out you’re having a baby. I was SO sure that I would be the same person, just with a baby, but it really does change you completely. I feel like I’m more patient, and have more empathy and love to give. I care more about my work, passions and things I love to do. Although I don’t have the same time to do these things as I did before, I’m pretty laser focused when I do which makes my days more purposeful. I care most about the example I set for Romy and what I can teach her so she has the happiest and most fulfilling life, which in turn kind of means I get to be my happiest and most fulfilled. I feel like I can be more authentic, and care less about the opinions of others. I want to be more vulnerable, just in case something I say can help someone or help them feel less alone in this anti-social ‘social’ world we live in. It feels a lot like freedom in a way, and although it was having Romy that gave this shift to me, I think it could be waiting for anyone who’s ready for it regardless of having children.
