@christophersfactory: Replying to @Conor O Hagan730 recycling PLA is harder than it seems. You need reasonably evenly sized chunks, to then extrude to a rough pass, to then cut into pellets and mix in with fresh PLA for a fine pass. Every step of that process uses tons of energy.
