@donaldhardnett89: A homeowner and his wife were awaken in the middle of the night by police officers responding to a domestic violence call. ROBERT DOTSON and his wife had been victims of a past break-in so they both armed themselves with guns unknowing that the would be intruders were police officers.When the officers saw the gun in MR. DOTSON'S hand they immediately opened fire fatally wounding ROBERT DOTSON in his doorway.His wife seeing her husband shot and lying on the floor returned fire until she realized that the intruders were cops. She then turned her attention to her injured husband and tried to revive him but the home owner,ROBERT DOTSON succumbed to his wounds and died at the scene. Now following a 10-month investigation the state's attorney general's office has determined that the officers involved had acted within their scope of duties and ruled that they had committed no crime.
