@coach_mundy_: You can’t name me a single reason why a bent over barbell row is better than any chest-supported row. You literally can’t. Other than “oh, old school body builders did it 🤓”. - If you have access to chest-supported rows, I don’t see why u wouldn’t use them for the sole purpose of performing scapula retraction. But instead, you’ll bend over with a load and now require unnecessarily high stability demands just to half rep a row… - You’re doing nothing but increasing your perceived effort. If you’re able to choose a more stable exercise, do it. It’s really not complicated. But if u choose a certain movement for the sake of enjoyment, cool.
