Not exactly next door or near. But Wakayama is definitely worth visiting. Planned on going there, in Nachi Falls, but didn’t have enough time.

I lived in Osaka for several years and spent so much time in Wakayama. Wakayama, Tottori, and Kochi are my favourite hidden gems of this general part of Japan 💕

Ok this place is beautiful but it’s not located right down in “Osaka”. You’ll need to plan your travels to this area.

Spent the majority in Osaka. It's close to Kyoto, Nara, Koyasan, Himeji and Kobe. All great spots. Osaka is a good base to day trip from

The Nachi Falls is quite far. I went there from Osaka and didn’t have enough time to go to that Pagoda, only the falls. Might consider staying in Wakayama next time.
