Then the marketing playbook (he came from marketing, so this was his edge): > Studied the most viral content from CalAI in the US + top fitness content in Israel > Ran paid ads (Israeli CPMs are way lower than US) → $20K/month in 4 months > Waited until he had social proof, then approached mega influencers > Instead of paying per post, he gave them a rev share on all Israeli revenue > Now two well-known faces represent the app - and they talk about it on TV, in interviews, everywhere That’s what took him from: $20K → $81K/month. Stack: Cursor + Claude ($200), PostHog ($20), RevenueCat, Supabase ($35), Expo ($100). The takeaway: you don’t need an original idea. You need a proven one, a niche market nobody’s serving, and a distribution edge.
