I’m lucky that one of my favourite potters, Jaejun Lee, is also a friend of mine, and to my complete and utter surprise, this marvellous parcel arrived in the post this week, from out the blue. For those of you who don’t know, Jaejun Lee is a potter, and tool maker, who works primarily with porcelain and celadon glazes that flow in stunning, almost unnatural rivulets. His pots are finished to a level that’s rarely seen and each time I hold one of his vessels I’m struck by the sheer degree of care and attention that he pours into his practice and it pushes me to take my pots further. He recently acquired a space in London too, and I’m hoping this means we get to meet more often, either way, I’m working on my care package to send to him now. If you have a moment, please take a look at his work, although I imagine most of you are already following him, how could you not!? #pottery #porcelain #unboxing #tools #celadon
