He could have a separate microphone for a console without a pc as long as it’s a usb connection, I would recommend a fifine k988 or a moano pd200x

He could start the journey to just save if he wants a pc. If pc is the end goal, save up around 3k and buy at the same time coz pc parts won’t always

A PC would be his end goal, double monitors, separate mic for them to hear him but a headset so you don’t have to hear them😂 monitors end goal would be min 165Hz🥰

you just need to get a good TV,get a rig 800 pro hx headset and keep the xbox for now that way he can save up for a pc. don't use a gaming laptop

cant use a separate mic till he gets a pc. just get a new headset for now. keep a eye out on fb market place can find good second hand gaming PC's for cheap. just make sure you do some research first
