One can plant the older sad tree (into your garden along thé areas good for evergreens, might surprise the living daylights out of you after 5 years, I had the same, planted in garden, added nothing. Very forgiving, surviving almost anything. Including being cut away by garden service & came back stronger. They grow huge so place carefully for growth, permanent shade, & harvests.
