So many southern Italians/Sicilians are also a mix of middle eastern, African, Greek, Albanian, Egyptian, and so many other things due to migration a long long time ago!!! It’s so interesting to learn about where your ancestors came from!

WOW, ty! I’m mostly Sicilian via Sicilian immigrants to New Orleans in 1880s. Lots of us there, yet NOBODY retained the language bec it was so hostile for them. The only impact we have is on the food!
