@rachelledurranthostmom: Surprise! We added a new exchange student to our family. This means we are now hosting TWO exchange students. This is Max from Mexico. This week it became necessary to move Max to a new home, and so he is now with us. 😊 It’s been a busy week! We had about 48 hours notice of this change and we didn’t have an empty bedroom, so we quickly rearranged our house to create a room for Max. I’m grateful for my wonderful kids who willingly open their hearts and home to a new person with little notice. They always cheerfully adapt and swerve so gracefully into a new situation. I’m grateful for my boys sacrificing their game room so that Max could have a bedroom and for their hand work in rearranging our basement. I’m grateful for Nicole being excited for a new exchange sibling and for being willing to share her exchange year. I’m grateful for my husband who never says no and who is always striving to make our home a safe place to land for whoever needs it. I’m grateful for the friends who loaned us furniture to create a new bedroom and who helped move it into our house. I’m surrounded by amazing people who help at the drop of a hat and willingly accept each exchangie we bring into their lives. Thank you to my village of incredible people! #exchangestudent #exchangefamily #asseconnect #mexicanexchangestudent #hostfamily #utahexchangestudent #mexicotousa #exchangeyear #usaexchange #utah #whywehost #exchangeyearusa #hosting #hostfamilyusa #exchangeyearutah #whyhostingmatters
