@thefarmladyaquatics: Here are some steps to reduce heat stress that can lead to high mortality. 1) Change your pond water in the morning during the cool of the day. Avoid changing in the afternoon when the sun is hot and the water temperature is warmer. (Remember the ideal temperature range for catfish farming is 26°C - 32°C at most) 2) Feed your Fish in the morning or evening (No afternoon feeding) 3) Reduce your stock density to reduce the rate at which dissolved oxygen is used up 4) Avoid overfeeding 5) Change your water daily if you always leave your water for 2 days especially people using surface ponds like plastic, concrete and tarpaulin pond. 6) If you use surface pond, shade a part of your pond if your pond is directly under the sun. 7) Incorporate Vitamin C in your feed especially those using local feed Video Source: xxx_currencion (Tiktok) #thefarmladyaquatics #catfishfarminginnigeria
