I was at 1600 kcal everyday in the before pictures because my metabolism is slow and my height is 160cm (5’3’’)  Here’s my advice if you’re in the same situation: Focus on building muscle to boost your metabolism by lifting weights and eating at maintenance or even bulking. After that, you can cut to lose fat and get to enjoy your dream body. It’s a long process yes, but it’s worth it, and once you’ve achieved your goal, maintaining it becomes easier.  Transitioning from an unhealthy diet to a cleaner one not only benefits your physique but also your overall health. Your taste buds will adapt to this healthier way of eating and you will soon find that junk food is more enjoyable when it’s limited to once or twice a week. When it comes to weightlifting, it honestly becomes much easier once you find a routine that feels comfortable for you. You don’t even have to change it—if it’s working, stick with it. As long as your goal remains the same, there’s no need to switch up your program. Just focus on making progress with the same exercises, which are usually the classic compound movements, along with some isolation exercises if you want to target a specific muscle group.
