I am a groomer, the slicker brush is better for cats because it won’t cut their delicate skin. The other brush is more for deshedding and longer coats

Undercoat brushes like that you only wanna pass through 2 maybe 3 timees. Anymore than that and youre cutting their hair

The first brush is a slicker, use that as the main brush!! The other is an undercoat rake which is sharp and will removed undercoat but will also cut-

You also have to be careful with the second one because it can cut your pets skin if you use too much pressure.

I use this on my German shepherd and she cries out sometimes so I feel this does pull it. I’m very gently brushing too. She’s 7monthe so not sure if it is or she just doesn’t want me to do it 🤷♀️
