@louisianacrawfishco: ⚠️Back in September, we had this well put in to be able to flood up a few or our crawfish ponds in case we didn’t get enough rain in the early fall months. Thank God we did! Flooding our ponds early during the drought probably saved our farm this crawfish season. On good years, mother nature provides enough rain to fill our ponds so we don’t have to pump from the resevoir or the aquifer. The drought was so bad this year that some of the pond farmers went to fill their ponds up from wells, but the water that came from the aquifer was salt water. Crawfish season may have gotten to a late start, but things are looking promising now!
