My ex was blk but not AA and used it only to jokingly talk down on AAs. Yes, other blk people can use the n word in a demeaning way. Others feel like it's their ticket into AA culture.

If one doesn’t belong to the ethnic group, they should not be using the word. A nonblack Latina loved to casually say the n word in convo w/ me but cringed when I referred to her Black husband as one
