I didn’t have that problem in basic training. My problem was I had a 5 o clock shadow before noon. I had to carry a disposable razor around with me and dry shave every 2 hours.

Back in the 90’s we had open bay showers, now days according to my son ( Army) they have individual showers in boot camp.
