When you mop, water will get to the paper and eventually mold ruining the floor underneath. This is a bad idea.

Be careful with that packing tape tho, it could peel up the finish on the hardwood

Hi! Wondering if you have advice on renters kitchen cabinets? I was going to use painters tape and then contact paper. But now I’m conflicted! Please help!!!

Gaffer tape will leave a huge residue of glue. I just saw it on YouTube and someone was removing the BLACK residue

There are so many renter-friendly tiles. Why would anyone do this?

I missed all the context so maybe this has already been covered but why don’t you just get a roll of thin subfloor and put that over the existing floor to protect it? Then stick the tiles on that?

I worked as a pa in an film crew art department and we had an adhesive paper that we'd put on floors and walls when we were putting up 70's wallpaper and flooring in a vintage home in SF.

My go-to is the cheapest piece of linoleum you can find. Cut it to size and peel and stick on top of that

Pop off your quarter round. Lay down one big sheet of sheet vinyl. Put quarter round back on to hold down the vinyl. Caulk the seam if you’re concerned about water seepage. Then you only have to peel

You can buy 24” wide rolls of masking tape. We use it in sign making.
