Was on a 10 hour flight, asked the person behind if it is ok to recline and asked them to tell me when to stop. Me and the person behind were then both comfortable. Just communicate.

I think not reclining your seat is the decent thing to do on shorter flights, but on 10h flights at some point everybody will, one needs to sleep!

YES! Reclining is a right on the plane. Get off if you don't like it and take a train or boat. Long haul flights are not possible without reclining so you can sleep

on some busses there's a way to recline where you mover your seat forward, instead of folding the back part, so you only inconvenience yourself
