We even have a food ministry in some places. When someone is sick, had a baby, been in hospital, or injured, we set up a calendar and people bring them food every day until they’re well.

I have lived in quite a few places. It’s not just a southern thing, but every person will feed everyone that comes into the house because we believe that no person should go hungry.
