2000 calories probs isn’t enough….. food is literally our fuel and under eating is getting you no where 👏 stop limiting your potential, feeling exhausted, seeing no progress, messing with your hormones, risking injury all over not eating enough to support your bodies needs (hands up I have been there too and it’s a learning journey for sure) BUT us active girlies NEED more than 2000 cals a day to be thriving, fit and feeling good okay!! as a ‘gym girl’ all I cared about was looking lean 2000 was my kinda daily goal id stress if I went over it and was into the whole calorie tracking stuff - I was under fuelling then, strength training 4-5x a week, doing around 5-7k steps a day and always exhausted - I then started moving toward Hybrid training (I grew up a swimmer and loved running on so thrive with the hybrid style and now wanna be super fast at Hyrox) and guess what I soon realised…. I needed hell of a lot more than 2000 calories if I was going to start getting speedy af, strong, actual fit, perform my best and recover and adapt from all that all while living life, and keeping healthy hormones (aka the no.1 priority a regular period!!) and yes even on the rest days I needed wayy more than that too - and so do YOU The training you do puts a biggg demand for energy on your body, if you want to perform, improve speed, strength, stamina, fitness and feel good - you need a lot of fuel going in, not only that your daily need increases outside the workouts simply by needing to recover, adapt, and function for a normal day! When you eat better trust me you notice how much better training is and how much better your body feels, and this ability to push yourself and improves! Food is fuel, don’t be afraid to eat more and actually nourish your body! It’s normal for people training in a hybrid style to need 2500, 3000, 3500 cals a day dependant on what they do and on recovery days - that should be normalised not the fear of eating more than 2000 cals a day as an active woman - under eating or eating less is not a flex 💁‍♀️xx #femaleathlete #whatieatinaday #hybridathlete #gymgirl #nutrition
