While all mics / gear are not created equally, I believe great products exist in all price categories. The Rode Wireless Pro may not be the cheapest mic set, but it has a feature that not many other have: 32-bit float. You may have heard a lot about 32-bit float by now, but if you haven’t, it’s essentially like shooting RAW audio. You get incredible flexibility to raise and lower audio levels in post without the fear of having clipped/peaked your levels all while keeping an incredibly low noise floor. Is this a feature everybody needs? Absolutely not. Do I even need it? Not necessarily lol, but I can certainly see the value in having it and the stress it can take off anybody using them - especially during weddings or live events.
