That durian was not ripe yet..a ripe durian is easy to open and when it is whacked the pulp inside is triggered to ferment..and taste better

the thorns are sharp. you have to 'smack/beat' it for easy handling. inner flesh won't be effected by this. durian are falling from tree though.
