@littleblossomdarling: Replying to @Tylie (caption not in reply to this comment!) sewing pieces like this for so long i think requires a lot more emotional energy than just the technical and physical skill and time one might assume this kind of work requires. when you’re touching something- making something out of nothing like this for over two years, it feels really like? spiritual? i feel so connected to these pieces and they are truly one of my greatest accomplishments. i cannot imagine doing that same work for a profit and i think it would take away a lot of the specialness to try and figure out how to commodify something so special. i’m not bothered by the compliment of someone wanting to have the things i have, but i think our desire to turn everything into a way to either make or spend money is something worth questioning. #historicalfashion #historicalcostuming #handsewn #sewingpattern
I’m so envious of your skill in sewing, especially handsewing!! You did such a fantastic job on all of this!

This is a collection of the most enchanting garments I’ve ever seen. I am not built with the patience and handicraft to excel at sewing, but this makes me want to try again.

In a live you did recently you were wearing a cap, with your historical garments and I would love to know where you got the pattern from. I do historical reenactment in the 1850’s and …
