this months restock of the “anne” pinafore launches 4/30 at 1 pm pst !! tomorrow !! i’ll be doing a restock of eight dress this month ! in a delicate blue and white check, and a saturated dove grey. plus the three permanent colors that you can see on the etsy listing and on my last post ! you can also find a reminder for the restock time and even more information on my story ! this darling dress takes direct inspiration from the pinafores and aprons that were worn by young women in the early 1900s. it’s a near copy of my favorite extant pinafore dresses, and features extra extra full ruffles on the shoulders and around the hem. it also has very low cut under-arms which allow for plenty of range of movement, but also all sorts of layering from fine lacey blouses like those worn in the 1900s, or big bulky sweaters so it can be worn through all seasons ! the dress is available currently in bust sizes 32-62, but can be made in any size requested! each dress is made to order and adaptions like, length and tag placement (for sensory comfort) can be made very easily. i cannot believe i’ve never styled this dress with a belt ? i spent the better half of my thrusday afternoon trying on plies of antique petticoats and layering old slips and corset covers and some how i’d still never worn these divine lace petticoats with the dress before ? i cannot tell you how incredible inspiring it is to see just how many different ways everyone has styled their dresses, and it’s especially wonderful to see it done in the ways my wardrobe doesn’t suit, but how i had imagined it being worn. it is such a treat. thank you all for celebrating these dresses with me, and thank you to @Vogue for always coming being ready to come and play in the orange groves with me. #cottagecore #historicalfashion #annewithane #handmade #linendress
