i think he wrote the timelines to trick us into thinking the chapters are on the same timeline, when in reality the whole time there were two different timelines, and you don’t realize that til the plot twist

Totally agree. Hated the timeline situation. AND, if Alicia knew who Theo was when she met him in hospital & that’s why she attacked him, then, why would she give him her journal? Ugggh!
