There are so many different scenarios that could’ve happened that night. People’s opinions don’t really matter to me because at the end of the day I did what I was supposed to do in that situation which is notify him. I never asked him to come but I knew if he did, we would keep it cordial infront of my son and also it’s HIS right as my son’s father, and we did. He said “I’M in the lobby”, not “WE”. My ex and I were in triage for about an hour before he got up and brought his wife to the back. He did greet me when he first walked in for everyone asking why I didn’t call him out. ALSO, only 2 people plus the patient are allowed in that room. They allow 2 people because he’s a child. If Leo was an adult, there would only be one person allowed back there. My point is, she shouldn’t have been back there to begin with. My son is sick, I was worried, and I shouldn’t have to deal with more at that moment because it takes focus away from my son and his current needs. My son is what matters here and you can clearly see it took a lot for me to keep my composure when I was already dealing with the situation of my son being sick at this time. She could’ve FaceTimed him if she wanted to know what was happening and she should’ve been home with her 5 year old on a school night instead of at the hospital where she wasn’t allowed. That energy doesn’t help my son period. Btw my son’s dad and I are on good terms for the good of our son.
