These states have withstood international communist threats. They can withstand fake images and videos. (2) it's too hard to obtain training data, that accurately mimics the average person. (3) it's too costly to do this for some arbitrary reason. (4) why would anyone arbitrarily incriminate you? What makes you so important? The elite who run major institutions do not care about you and me (unless we threaten their bottom line, but that's a different question). (5) this is hype. No one believes any of this. (6) AI detection technology will similarly improve. (7) governments are self-serving institutions who will fund this improvement to maintain their legitimacy as justice systems. (8) the buy-in by economic and military elites to maintain this justice system, especially vis-à-vis the institution of private property which must be maintained through legal procedure, will easily outweigh Joe Shmoe's nefarious intent to criminalize someone. Only the elites in these institutions would have the wherewithal to incriminate someone in this way. But they already do this, so nothing has really changed. (9) if legitimacy were to fall, these elites would lose their money. They will, consequently fund as much as is necessary to ensure the AI detection technology exist to maintain the that legitimacy and thereby to maintain their pocketbooks. NEVER underestimate the power of the capitalist class to re-entrench itself no matter what.
