Now just making me think of the one rise in the sidewalk in my neighborhood that was basically a jumping ramp for bikes. That poor tree in the medium was just hungry. 😢

Tree roots need oxygen, too. Most species break up concrete trying to get air. I wish we’d stop putting trees in sidewalks altogether.

I wish trees were planted away from roads and sidewalks and shrubs and grasses were planted between sidewalk and roads. Makes a lot more sense.
