@maximumskin: Rubbing food that is “rich in vitamin A” is not the same as using a product with retinol in it. Main differences come down to vehicles/delivery systems. A product with retinol is designed to be applied topically, considerations of absorption and efficacy is (or should be) taken into consideration. When it comes to rubbing vitamin A rich foods on your skin, the entire concept is to eat it. Eating it has an effect on the levels in your body — ie too much vitamin A foods is not safe. This is also why the SCCS has recently determined humans were coming into unsafe levels of vitamin A because they took into consideration skincare, foods, etc and have decreased the retinol limit to 0.3% in leave on products in the EU. #naturalskincare #retinol #retinoid #antiaging #diyskincare #medicalaesthetician #aestheticsnurse
