@misspageantry883: Look: Miss World Philippines 🇵🇭 Gwendolyne Fourniol during the Opening Ceremony of the 71st Miss World pageant. This costume is a representation of the Filipina’s craft spirit of dignity, growth, and joy. It was hand-embroidered with flamboyant embellishments inspired from the Hiligaynon’s authentic Ilonggo Textiles with metal crown headpiece. Accessorized with a sun ray-shaped, golden goddess-like back dress and two large golden palaspas-like, or a palm bouquets made of patterned-faux feathers. The silhouette bodice was incorporated with India’s traditional print called “Ikat” arranged with vibrant array of glass beads, Swarovski crystals, and sequins which was created by tying and dyeing yarn section before weaving the fabric.
