3 BDAY TRADITIONS ⬇️🥳💗 1. door sign/decor✨ they are $25 online at @partycity, you can create your own or use or their templates. every year after they go to bed i put the sign up, put their gifts out and put a balloons out. i usually put loose balloons in their bedroom as well! i get a picture of them in front of their sign every year. I also use the same reusable gift bags 🥰 2. birthday cards: every year whatever their bday theme is, i get a matching card and joe and i each write a long message in it. we then put $20 in their card (could do the amount they turn each year), a photo of us on their birthday and i put them away. on their 18th birthday we will give them the cards and they will also have $360 ♥️ 3. YES day: so on their birthday we let them pick the day, they can pick where and what we eat, 1 place to shop and 1 place to go. or you can pick and do it as a surprise to stay within a budget or do a picnic and go to favorite park. as they get older we may adjust this to just a mom and dad day with them to go somewhere fun. reagan chose to go to cedar point amusement park with just Joe and I today🎢 lastly, i love doing home birthday parties, this is the first year not doing parties at home bc of our temporarily living situation. I usually combine their parties but they always pick a theme. reagan did have a birthday party at a gymnastics gym so I won’t be getting a cake today, but if they don’t have a party I still get a cake and have a “theme” at home. as they get older I want to pivot to an extra vacation instead of birthday parties 🥳 tap FOLLOW for more budget friendly kids activities, organization and home inspo ✨🤍
