Over the last few years I've been working on putting together an audio/visual set that showcases this style of mixing and the way I've always played my sets. This past weekend in Orange County we premiered the new version of Slice & Dice sets and this was for real the first time in my career I've really seen my production vision come to life These A/V sets are projected with SDI cams looking down at the mixer appearing on the LED screen while having the channels on the mixer control certain visuals playing throughout the set. A knife appears over the mixer EQ knobs while the the blade of the knife shows the waveform of that current track playing and is sync'd up in real time. For this show in particular since we have 4 extra LED panels each individual screen was mapped to the mixer fader. Putting up fader 1 would turn on LED 1 showcasing the knife with the waveform of that current track playing and so on for channels 2,3 and 4. On top of all of that other camera FX and extra animations playing with all of this as well. This somethin I been working on for a FAT minute to get it right. Major shouts to everyone who worked with me on it and HUGEEE shouts to the absolute wizard @ph13labs for workin wit me last few months to really dial this in and get it proper.
