If yo hair sounds like you were raking leaves when you brush it…stop giving haircare advice baby… If your hair is actively breaking off because you effed it up…baby stop giving haircare advice. Look this is the reality: people who work at Schmallys are normal everyday people, they aren’t stylists, they usually don’t have any hair education, and they often aren’t qualified to advise you on chemicals, etc. Not trying to be overly petty, though I am genetically petty (it’s a medical condition💁🏽‍♂️) Often times disaster can be avoided if you just look up at the head of the employee giving the advice! Chyle I was JUST in a Schmallys yesterday and a lady came in FURIOUS that the color remover she bought didn’t work as she was advised…meanwhile she insisted on yelling over me to the cashier while I was just trying to check out and leave…and the whole time I was just thinking…baby this customer doesn’t do well with context clues! Look at the employees hair! It looks like yours does now…because you took her advice! Watching the employee and her manager try to explain (incorrectly) why a chemical they recommend lightened the lady’s hair…when they told her it was just going to remove the color and take her back natural was real…interesting. And I’ll be honest with you: I DO NOT help in instances like that anymore. I used to, but the truth of the matter is, I will never be comfortable with advising people with no hair education on how to use chemicals that can do serious long term, if not permanent damage. I get that not everyone has the budget for a stylist…but I don’t have the budget to be held liable for giving advice on chemicals when I know as an educator that you don’t know what you are doing. Thanks for coming to my TED talk 💁🏽‍♂️ mmmmkayloveyoubyeeee
